Maral Aftahi

I'm Maral, a first-year Medical Student at Brunel University of London. I'm a multilingual tutor, fluent in Persian, Turkish and English. I teach Biology, Chemistry, as well as helping students prepare for Medicine interviews.
I've always had a strong passion for Human Biology and Chemistry, and I've been eager to share my knowledge and help others understand subjects they may find challenging. Having worked hard towards my own medical school journey, I was fortunate to receive several offers from Irish medical schools before ultimately choosing to study at Brunel. Having lived in three different countries and travelled extensively, I've had the opportunity to meet people from a wide range of backgrounds, which has helped me become adaptable, approachable, and understanding. I find it incredibly rewarding to see students gain confidence, make progress, and achieve their goals, and I aim to make every lesson engaging, supportive, and tailored to the individual.
