Lynsey Meakin

Hi, I am Lynsey – I work as a Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education, so I am a teacher of teachers.

I am passionate about education and could provide tuition in Secondary School English, Biology and Psychology; Further Education Biology and Psychology; and undergraduate Psychology.

I believe in active engagement and empowering students to take ownership of their education. I use active learning strategies like problem-solving activities, case studies, and project-based learning. These methods help to develop critical thinking, encourage student participation, and facilitate deeper understanding of the subject matter.

As a tutor, I will deliver:
o lessons supported with visual aids, including PowerPoint presentations and YouTube videos
o lesson resources that are clear and visually appealing
o personalised learning
o individualised guidance and support
o effective communication and social presence in the online environment
o timely, constructive, specific written and verbal feedback

I will encourage you to ask questions, seek clarification, and explore topics beyond the classroom.
