I have 13 years of secondary teaching (with some year 4 to 6 placements) experience, 10 of which were as the head of Latin and Classics in a successful North London secondary. I have successfully prepared students for GCSE, A level, common entrance and scholarship exams.I am generally a warm and supportive tutor, ideal for students who really need a confidence boost with their studies.

I am also a qualified English second language teacher with a few summers teaching experience in this field. For English my teaching style is conversational but I also have a strong etymological understanding of the language and can explain the origins of some of English's idiosyncrasies.
I am in York studying a Medieval masters so have significant flexibility when it comes to tutoring.
