Hello, I’m Evelyn, a native Mandarin speaker with a Master’s degree in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and over four years of teaching experience in the UK and South Korea.

I taught Mandarin at a primary school in East London for two years, working with children aged 3 to 11. I have also taught secondary school students and currently provide private Mandarin lessons.

My lessons are friendly, practical and adapted to each learner’s age, level and goals. For younger children, I use pictures, games, songs, stories and creative activities to make learning enjoyable. Older students and adults can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, Chinese characters, YCT preparation, or Mandarin for work and travel.

I am patient and encouraging, and I want my students to feel comfortable speaking Mandarin without worrying about making mistakes. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience, I will help you build confidence and make steady progress at your own pace.
