I practice a casual style of online teaching based around being a mentor who has recently sat the same examinations the pupil is preparing for; rather than a rigid, older style of teaching that students may be exposed to in school under teachers who have completed these exams over ten+ years ago. The benefit of this is that I can better understand and empathise with what it is like to be in the learning environment and so I can tailor my teaching methods appropriately to each of my pupils; this is something I believe is crucial in a tutor.
