Each session lasts 45 minutes and is designed to strike a balance between fluency-building and focused support. I always keep the learner’s goals at the heart of the process. After the first class, I work with each person to develop personalised sessions that are tailored to their needs, interests and preferred pace, so we shape the sessions together.

The sessions are structured as follows: the first 30 minutes are conversation-based and follow what I call an interview-style approach. I guide the discussion towards topics relevant to the learner’s objectives, encouraging natural speech while challenging them to expand their vocabulary, fluency and confidence. The final 15 minutes are focused on targeted feedback. I highlight areas that could benefit from improvement (whether related to grammar, pronunciation or vocabulary) and we discuss potential topics to explore in future sessions.
