Hello,
I am Lucy, an undergraduate Psychology student at UCL and a passionate tutor dedicated to helping students not just survive their studies, but truly thrive and reach their full potential. My approach is rooted in genuine care and understanding. I prioritise each student's individual needs and work hard to create an engaging, supportive environment where they feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace.
Having recently navigated both A Level and GCSE examinations in Chemistry and Maths myself, I have first hand experience of the pressure students face when striving for target grades. I also possess a deep, current understanding of the new curriculum and exactly what examiners are looking for. In my lessons, I pinpoint weak areas in a topic and tackle them using whatever method works best for the student, whether that is visual aids, step by step walkthroughs, or real world examples that make abstract concepts click. My goal is not just to teach content, but to build genuine understanding and exam confidence.
Beyond our sessions, I provide students with tailored resources and materials to support their independent revision. These are designed to reinforce what we cover together and help them continue developing academically in their own time. All resources are available online and can be sent to students whenever they need them, flexible, accessible, and always responsive to their progress.
Most importantly, I believe in lifting students up, understanding their unique perspectives, and reminding them that they are capable of far more than they think. Let's work together to make your goals a reality.
