I like to make my lessons enjoyable and fun. When we first meet I will ask you what styles you enjoy playing and also what are your goals with the instrument. Either if you are a total beginner or a more experienced player we will explore technique, practice, reading, playing by ear and ensemble playing . Because of my experience I am quite flexible and able to tailor lessons to each student's needs and preferences. I am comfortable teaching students all ages and levels.
I am passionated about music and teaching. I enjoy seeing my students progress in their instrument and achieve their goals. I am always researching new materials and approaches for teaching my instruments. I have been teaching for over 20 years in various contexts. Privately, at Secondary and Primary Schools as well as at Adult Education Centres. As well as an instrumental teacher I am a performer and have published 2 albums with original material.
I live in West Dulwich and can travel to teach at yout place if you live in Dulwich or surrounding areas.
