Lucia Hearn Kukova

My name is Lucia, I live in Bournemouth in England and I have a passion for teaching. I started to teach English 15 years ago while I was a student in my home country Slovakia. I speak English, Slovak, Italian, and I understand some German and Russian too. I have a Master´s degree in English and Italian Translation and Interpreting. I used to dance in a folklore group for almost 20 years and we travelled a lot around the world. I love skiing , swimming and playing on piano.

I love being a teacher, because it's very rewarding when I can see my students' progress. I am sure you will have a lot of fun with me learning English.


I have 5 years of teaching experience and I'm CELTA certified. I have a master´s degree in English and Italian Translation and Interpreting. I used to teach English at International Schools in Slovakia, London and Cambodia, different levels from beginners to advanced. My lessons are student centered and I always prepare materials that suit individual students needs.


I can help you learn English in a fun way. I will try to understand your needs and help you achieve your goals by preparing materials that are interesting for you.
