As a nuclear engineering student I organise group study sessions where we teach each other the course content ourselves. I personally believe this method of teaching is invaluable, as talking peer to peer allows for a more non formal enviroment that gives both the teacher and student a sense of camaraderie, which gives the student more confidence to speak out and ask questions. As a nuclear engineering student I organise group study sessions where we teach each other the course content ourselves. I personally believe this method of teaching is invaluable, as talking peer to peer allows for a more non formal enviroment that gives both the teacher and student a sense of camaraderie, which gives the student more confidence to speak out and ask questions. I hope most lessons would be a healthy mix of discussion and debate(academic or not!), reasoning and understanding of the criteria, and question run throughs and solving. Whilst past papers and questions are incredibly important and will dominate most sessions they must go hand in hand with discussion and understanding.
