Hi students!
I'm currently an undergraduate university student so it hasn't been too long ago that I've sat my GCSEs, so I remember the struggle and the setup clearly. With my student, I'd love to initially go over the general course content with them, understand where they're up to, and do a bit of a red/amber/green/uncovered session, going through their specific specification to understand what to go over. Each session we will cover their least confident key topics with plenty of past paper questions and practice, which they can consolidate further in their own revision time. Initially, we won't have a strict schedule, but our sessions will take into account any mock exams coming up that we need to be aware of and work with. Finally, I want to clarify that I am very much a relaxed teacher. We will cover the content but there's no need for my students to stress! we can go over it as many times as needed, however they learn best. I will aim to have my sessions feeling informal and unintimidating (while remaining on task, of course :)
