My lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and carefully tailored to each student’s individual needs, supporting them not only academically but also personally and emotionally. With over 13 years of full-time teaching experience, I follow a clear and consistent format that begins with a recap of prior learning to build confidence and reinforce understanding. This is followed by the introduction of new material through interactive explanation, discussion, and guided practice, ensuring that students are actively involved in their learning.

I create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring ideas. Lessons are dynamic and responsive, with content and activities adapted to suit individual needs, abilities and goals, whether that involves exam preparation, developing key skills, or deepening subject knowledge. I use a range of teaching methods, including practical exercises, real-world examples, critical thinking and opportunities for discussion.My approach aims to keep learning relevant and meaningful thus helping students to connect their learning to the wider world.

Alongside academic progress, I place a strong emphasis on building confidence, resilience, and self-management skills, encouraging students to become independent learners. Drawing on extensive experience in pastoral care, careers education, and working with diverse learning needs, I adapt my teaching to ensure every student feels capable, valued and supported. Regular feedback, reflection, and goal-setting are embedded into lessons so that progress is clear and measurable. Ultimately, my aim is to empower students to achieve their potential while developing the confidence and skills to succeed beyond the classroom.
