Lewis Spencer

I am a guitarist, session musician, and tutor based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, with nearly two
decades of experience in playing music. I have studied Popular Music Performance for five years at
Kidderminster College and Birmingham City University, where I graduated with a Distinction and achieved
a BMus (Hons) Degree.
Beyond my formal education, where I developed extensive theoretical knowledge and technical
proficiency, I have also honed my skills through professional engagements in live ensemble settings and
session recordings. I have collaborated with many professional musicians and artists globally.
I have nearly a decade of experience teaching guitar and theory/musicianship lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels. My teaching background includes peripatetic work in schools, leading assemblies,
creating workshops, and providing private and online tuition. These experiences have enabled me to
develop a diverse set of teaching techniques, allowing me to adapt my style to meet the specific needs
of my students. I possess a finely tuned ear and a broad range of influences, which help me tailor my
lessons to suit different students' interests.
I cover a wide range of musical genres, including pop, jazz, soul, funk, R&B, country, gospel, reggae,
fusion, hip-hop, rock, metal, and more.
