My lessons are highly structured, engaging, and fully personalised to each student’s age, level, and goals, with a strong focus on real, natural Spanish and cultural understanding. I combine plenty of speaking practice with clear explanations of grammar, pronunciation, and everyday expressions, based on Peninsular Spanish, while also introducing regional differences where helpful. For younger learners, I use interactive and motivating activities to keep lessons fun and engaging. For adult learners, I focus on building confident, natural communication, accuracy, and cultural awareness.

I have extensive academic training in Spanish language and culture, which allows me to offer lessons that are both supportive and thorough, helping students not only speak well, but also understand how Spanish is really used in different contexts across Spain and the wider Spanish-speaking world.

For students interested in Mandarin Chinese, I also offer teaching informed by a strong academic focus on the Chinese-speaking world, with particular attention to Taiwan. I place emphasis on practical Taiwanese Mandarin, real-life communication, and cultural context, while also introducing broader Chinese language and cultural variation. This helps students develop solid language skills alongside a deeper understanding of Chinese-speaking societies, especially Taiwan’s unique linguistic and cultural environment.

In addition, I also teach English to Chinese and Spanish speakers, using my experience in cross-linguistic teaching to anticipate common difficulties and explain English clearly and effectively. This allows me to tailor explanations to learners’ native language backgrounds, making progress faster, more efficient, and more confidence-building.

I also support students in building good study habits, confidence, and long-term progress, using authentic materials and real-world topics so that learning feels relevant, practical, and motivating. My aim is to help students feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely connected to the language they are learning.
