I went to Mayfield Grammar School for Girls, where I got Grades 8–9 in maths
I think each student learns in their way so I try to figure out how they learn before I plan my lessons. Some students do well with pictures and videos some like it when I explain things step by step and some like to practice with questions or do fun activities. I change the way I teach to fit what they need. My goal is to make learning fun and easy to understand and to help students feel more confident as they go along.
I want to create a space where students feel okay asking questions and learning at their speed. Of just giving them the answers I want to help them understand why things work the way they do so they can solve problems on their own and really learn the material.
I am patient and organised. I really want to help every student do their best no matter how good they are at something right now. If a student needs help or wants to feel more confident or wants to get the best grades I will make each lesson just for them and what they need to learn.
My main goal is not just to help students do better in school but to help them like learning and feel good about what they can do. I try to make every lesson helpful, encouraging and just, for them so each student gets the support they need to do their best.
