Mithuna Vigneswaran

I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate, Business Analyst and founder of MV Academy, my own tutoring business, which I have successfully established and continue to run. Through MV Academy, I have gained experience delivering personalised one-to-one lessons, helping students improve their understanding, confidence and academic performance.

I offer engaging, structured and interactive online Maths lessons for students from Primary School through to GCSE, including Foundation and Higher levels.

My Teaching Approach

I believe that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to their individual abilities, learning styles and academic goals. My aim is to make Maths enjoyable, easier to understand and less intimidating.

What to Expect During My Lessons

* Interactive PowerPoint Presentations: I use carefully structured PowerPoint slides to introduce topics, explain mathematical concepts and demonstrate worked examples visually.
* Step-by-Step Explanations: I break down challenging topics into smaller, manageable steps, ensuring students understand each stage before progressing.
* Guided Practice Questions: We work through questions together, allowing students to develop their understanding and confidence with my support.
* Interactive Quizzes: I incorporate short quizzes and knowledge checks throughout lessons to reinforce learning and assess understanding.
* Independent Practice: Students complete practice questions during lessons, allowing me to identify areas where additional support may be needed.
* GCSE Exam Preparation: For GCSE students, I incorporate past-paper questions, exam techniques and revision strategies to help them prepare effectively for their examinations.
* Homework and Feedback: Where appropriate, I provide additional practice questions and constructive feedback to help students continue improving between lessons.

My Goal

As the founder of MV Academy, I am committed to providing high-quality, supportive and engaging tuition. I want every student to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their confidence in Maths.
