Laura Ogun

Hi there, my name is Laura and I’m an English tutor, I am a very positive person who has an enthusiastic outlook on life. I love educating and shaping young minds because I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. If I can have a positive impact on their future, I feel I am doing my job well.
As an after-school tutor, my main responsibility is to support the process of the students learning of content as instructed by their teacher, explain how to understand skills in their area of weakness, and review content with them. I can also help students develop study skills to help improve their academic performance. ?In addition to the academic component, ? I will offer encouragement and support to keep students motivated and ready to learn and ?will serve as a role model to the student.
I will also work towards enhancing their reading skills, grammar and vocabulary skills,English writing, interpretation skills, interpersonal skills and literary skills. Depending on the student's needs I will be prompting students to write compositions, essays or simply teaching the basics of sentence composition and verbal reasoning.
My goal every day is to have a positive impact on young people. Therefore, I am highly motivated to apply for the position of Tutor and friend to any student. I believe that i can perform as an excellent educator, and I hope to contribute as much as possible to help in the positive development and growth of the student.
