Laura Andreoli

My lessons are tailored to each student and what they would like to work on. We’ll usually start by chatting about what you’re currently studying, which topics you feel confident about and where you might need a bit more help. From there, we can work through things together at your own pace.

We can focus on topics you find difficult, revise course content, go through practice questions or prepare for upcoming exams. I like to use clear explanations, examples and plenty of questions along the way to make sure things are making sense. I’m also very happy for you to bring your own questions or material from school that you’d like to go through together.

I have plenty of teaching materials and examples that we can use during our lessons, including interactive Mentimeter activities that you can revisit afterwards to revise what we have covered.

My aim is not just to help you memorise information for an exam, but to help you really understand the biology behind it. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, even if you think they are very basic, and to become more confident explaining concepts in your own words.

I have over 10 years of experience in scientific research and higher education and have taught students through lectures, tutorials, practical classes and one-to-one supervision. I really enjoy breaking down complicated scientific ideas and making them easier to understand.

Lessons are usually one hour, but I’m happy to adapt them depending on what works best for you.
