Advert description
Hi, I’m Laura! I have been working in neuroscience research and higher education for the past 10 years. I have a PhD and a Master’s degree in Neuroscience and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. I spent the last few years at UCL, first as a neuroscience researcher and then as a Lecturer in Neuroscience.
Over the years, I have taught biology, neuroscience and pharmacology to students with different levels of knowledge and experience through lectures, tutorials, practical classes and one-to-one supervision.
I offer Biology tutoring at GCSE and A-level, as well as Biology and Neuroscience tutoring for undergraduate and postgraduate university students. At university level, I can also help with topics including neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, neuroanatomy and related areas of neuroscience.
My lessons are tailored to each student and what they would like to work on. I like to start by understanding what you already know and where you are struggling, and then work through the topic together using clear explanations, examples and questions.
We can focus on understanding difficult topics, revising course content and preparing for exams. For university students, I can also help with essay writing, oral presentations, and learning how to read, understand and critically evaluate scientific papers.
My aim is not just to help you memorise information, but to make sure you really understand the concepts and feel confident explaining and applying what you have learned.
