Laura Alberici

Hi, I'm Laura! I’m currently studying Creative Writing and English Literature at the University of East Anglia. I’m originally from Italy but moved to France when I was a kid and now just moved to the UK (I have an International Baccalaureate). I’m passionate about teaching languages as I’m an avid language learner myself, and know both the beauty and difficulty of French. Having had a tutor myself, I know how helpful it is to learn a language by directly speaking with someone. It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting French, or if you need to prepare for A levels or GSCE and grammar is not making much sense, if you need a bit of tutoring for a language test, or your company is looking to expand,… whatever you need French lessons for I‘d love to help you! I offer beginners to advanced lessons for all ages.
Having lived in Burgundy, I can help not only with the written language, but with the tedious oral part of French and its confusing accents and letters, but also with culture. Having studied it, I also have an in-depth knowledge of French History and Geography as well as French literature.
My mum being a primary school teacher, I have learnt that every person needs its personal teaching method and therefore am very flexible with whatever working method is best for you or your child. I propose a first longer lesson (1h15-1h30) so we can talk about your needs and then proceed to the lesson (please note that if your child is under 12, I require the presence of an adult for at least the beginning and the end of the first lesson).
To me, learning a language should be fun and therefore I prefer ludic and modern methods of teaching such as flashcards, for example.
