I am a dedicated computer science tutor for GCSE and A-level standards who can transform intimidating technical concepts into clear, actionable knowledge through a logical and patient approach. I begin by identifying the student’s current level and any gaps in their understanding. Each lesson is then carefully planned to focus on key exam topics, building both knowledge and confidence step by step. I use a mix of explanation, worked examples, and guided practice to ensure students fully understand each concept before moving on.

Lessons are highly interactive. I encourage students to think through problems, explain their reasoning, and actively participate rather than just listen. For programming topics, we work through code together, trace algorithms, and practice exam-style questions. For theory topics, I simplify complex ideas using clear explanations and real examples, then reinforce learning with targeted questions.

A strong focus is placed on exam technique. I regularly use past paper questions, show students how to structure high-mark answers, and highlight common mistakes so they can avoid losing marks unnecessarily.

I have experience teaching Computer Science of AQA, OCR, Cambridge boards, including topics such as programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, Boolean algebra, and computer systems. I understand the exam requirements and how to help students achieve top grades.
