Learning any new language is really all about practise practise and more practise. I love to get fully engaged with students and open up a conversation with them. I get to learn something about them and where they are from, and something about their lives, and also get them using their english. This is a very usefull part of the whole learning process. This also can allow me to see where more work is needed and what sort of progress they are making in building their english language skills. It can also set the student up to begin to move forward from strength to stength as they improve and develope their language skills. As they improve their whole inner sense of self confidence grows right along with the newly developing language skills. It can turn into a real win win process for everyone involved. It can also help to mix in more practicle and everyday uses for english in people's normal lives. This would include such things as going out shopping or wanting to see a movie. Getting a conversation going around these sorts of events is always very usefull in the process of improving and building on any student's english language abilities. I am really looking forward to meeting some very interesting people and getting the process going to improve their english language skills while I get to know them and what brings them to learn english in the first place. It is all going to be a great experience for each of us.
