Kevin Adamson

I am a patient and highly experienced secondary mathematics tutor with over 35 years of successful teaching in schools. Throughout my career, I have taught across the full secondary age range and supported students of all abilities, from those needing confidence-building and consolidation to high achievers aiming for top grades.

I have taught in a wide variety schools in the UK and overseas, so as well as KS3, GCSE and A level experience, I have also taught international courses including Edexcel and CIE IGCSE. I have been Head of Mathematics in two schools in the UK; one a state grammar school and the other a small independent school.
Alongside classroom teaching, I work as an examiner and team leader for Edexcel, OCR and AQA. This gives me in-depth knowledge of exam specifications, mark schemes, and what examiners are really looking for. This allows me to help students develop effective exam technique, avoid common pitfalls, and maximise marks.
