I have two years of experience tutoring Year 11 students in mathematics, helping them strengthen core skills, improve exam technique, and build genuine confidence in the subject. Over this time, I’ve supported learners with a wide range of abilities, from those needing help with foundational topics, to students aiming for top grades. My sessions are structured, supportive, and fully tailored to each student’s needs - whether that’s revisiting key concepts, tackling tricky exam questions, or developing effective problem-solving strategies they can apply independently.

My teaching style is friendly, patient, and approachable. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, creating a calm learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new methods, and making mistakes without pressure. I encourage students to think aloud, build resilience, and celebrate small wins, helping them grow in confidence lesson by lesson. I also make sure to adapt my explanations to suit different learning styles, using visual aids, worked examples, and guided practice to reinforce understanding.

Organisation is one of my strengths, so every session has a clear plan, targeted goals, and personalised guidance. I’m resilient under pressure, highly reliable, and committed to helping every student progress at a pace that feels right for them. My aim is not only to improve grades, but to help students develop long-term confidence, independence, and a more positive relationship with maths. Ultimately, I want each learner to feel capable, motivated, and proud of the progress they make - both inside and outside the classroom.
