I have experience tutoring and classroom assisting with different levels of French, from beginners to more advanced learners, so I feel confident adjusting my tutoring approach to best suit your individual needs. I like to begin with a short assessment or conversation to understand how I can help you most effectively—whether that’s improving grammar, building vocabulary, working on pronunciation, or preparing for exams. I also adapt my teaching style based on what works best for you, ensuring each session is as engaging and useful as possible.

I also have experience helping in Year 9 French classes and supporting GCSE students, particularly with oral exam practice. Working closely with students on their speaking skills has given me a deep understanding of the GCSE exam format, which allows me to guide students effectively through exam preparation and improve their confidence in speaking.

I strive to be approachable and supportive while maintaining a professional atmosphere. I am also flexible and open to any specific concerns or goals you might have.

I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE French and an A at A Level, and I am currently studying French as part of my undergraduate degree at Newcastle University, where I’m averaging a First in that section of my degree.

Additionally, I have just returned from a year living in France as part of my degree, which has had a significant impact on my fluency and cultural understanding. This experience allows me to bring authentic language usage and real-life context into our lessons, which can be incredibly valuable for students aiming to improve both their spoken and written French.
