I can build lessons to suit you as a learner whether you prefer to be more creative for example, learning through drawing or creating scenarios to help you remember case studies and information through mind maps and diagrams. I like to try and use pictures to link ideas together visually and talk about them to help solidify meaning to them, when talking about the coast for example, I find it useful to use local areas and surroundings from where I am or where you are to link it to the understanding of how things can change and adapt around you. I like to also try and get you to think critically and present information yourself. Whether that be us discussing a topic, me setting you a small task and then you presenting it the following session, this can help you to build on a variety of skills and see how you can be creative and confident talking about a new subject. I also encourage students to think about how their day to day life can link to a topic within Geography. For example, taking trips out and collecting things or writing notes down that you can then bring to our sessions to build on the outside themes within our lessons. You may then be more confident to talk about what you are learning in school and we can see how that might differ depending on our angle and how you are studying. If you need revision help, I am also experienced in exam teaching and can help prepare you by marking answers or addressing how you might approach certain questions.
