I've been practicing yoga for over 10 years and teaching since 2022. I first fell in love with at-home practice, starting with Youtube videos then moving on to learning the Ashtanga sequence so I can practice with consistency at home. While doing my teacher training I started practicing yin yoga which was the perfect balance to ashtanga for its soothing, relaxing benefits. The first style of yoga that I taught was chair yoga, which I taught to my corporate colleagues online during lunchtimes, to much appreciation. I draw on all these experiences when teaching privately to give individuals exactly what they need from a yoga practice. Yoga is meant to remove suffering from your life, through strength, flexibility, mobility and calm mind, so this can be achieved through many different means. Some people with injuries or medical conditions might be best suited to a chair yoga practice to begin with and to build upon, or others with more athletic backgrounds might prefer a more dynamic practice. This can even change between lessons - one day you want something really fast paced to get you moving, and other days you may just need to lie down. Its all yoga! I also love using props to support the practice - things like blocks, bricks, bolsters and blankets to help make yoga postures easier. Its not about making your life more difficult! My hope is that by learning yoga with me, you'll learn lots of tools that you can take with you into your daily life to help you feel stronger and more at ease.
