Kareema Chowdhury

Hi! I'm an experienced English tutor with a passion for helping students grow in confidence and ability. Although I’m currently based in London, I’ve spent time teaching in Egypt, where I supported young children learning to read and also helped older students prepare for their GCSE English exams.
I’ve completed both my GCSEs and A Levels here in the UK, and I’m now preparing to begin my studies in Nursing at King’s College London. My academic journey has given me a strong understanding of the curriculum and the challenges students face, especially when it comes to English language and literature.

In my lessons, I focus on creating a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs—whether that’s building reading skills in younger learners or guiding GCSE students through essay writing, exam technique, and analysis of texts.

Lessons are structured but flexible. I often use interactive activities, discussion, and past paper practice to make sure students are engaged and making real progress. My goal is not just to help students succeed academically, but to enjoy the process of learning.
