Having achieved A Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Psychology myself, I have a recent, in-depth understanding of both the GCSE and A Level chemistry curricula, and I know exactly where students tend to get stuck, whether that's balancing equations, understanding bonding, or working through organic chemistry mechanisms. My university studies have also deepened my knowledge well beyond what's covered at school level, so I'm confident answering the trickier "why" questions that often get glossed over in the classroom.

My teaching approach is all about breaking things down into small, manageable steps, starting from what you already understand and building from there. I check in regularly throughout a session to make sure concepts have genuinely sunk in, rather than just moving through content for the sake of it, and I always encourage questions, however basic they might seem. Lessons are relaxed, patient and interactive, with plenty of practice questions to build confidence alongside understanding.
