I am a French student. I came to London 8 years ago to study criminology and psychology. I have been a teaching and learning assistant for 2 years in a secondary school, so I have experience in teaching. The experience I have with teaching taught me a lot about how students like to learn and how they can progress. I really enjoy teaching. The most important at the beginning is being able to tell why you want to learn French or to improve, as it allows both of us to choose a specific way to go, and to decide on achievable goals together. My lessons fit what the students need, and we organise the lessons together. The lessons should include conversations, reading, games and other activities in order to learn easily and faster. During the first lesson, we will establish your level and why you want to learn French to decide what is the most important to focus on at the beginning. If the purpose is to go through your lessons from school (for school students) we can focus on that, if you want to learn French to travel, to live in France or for any other reason, we can focus on what you think you will need at first and then go in depth. We can also focus on accent, grammar, new vocabulary, or any other topic you think you will like. After lessons, you should be able to have a conversation in French, and to use vocabulary you need in the correct way.
