I have a Double First-Class degree in History & English from Oxford, and a PhD in History from Cambridge. I have spent 10 years teaching at both institutions, and through outreach projects in secondary schools in places from London to Wales and Merseyside. These ranged from Year 7 to Sixth Forms, and also included extensive sessions on university applications and Oxbridge advice.

I love teaching, and am there to fit our programmes around your learning needs. My experience across a range of different audiences means that we can tailor a bespoke curriculum to your learning goals in a comfortable way. No question is ever too silly, and I'm there above all to help you get the best out of your learning.
I provide sessions English and History from GCSE upwards. I am happy to work with you on exam work on set materials as well as on unseen work and skills development. You are welcome to get in touch with me to discuss specific preferences and I can tailor our learning to you.
In addition, I am happy to provide sessions on university admissions and application advice. This includes personal statements, but also the specific admissions processes for Oxford and Cambridge. I used to run sessions on these for schools, and was an interviewer of candidates at Cambridge for degrees in English and in Theology. Most importantly, I've also been there myself, so can offer advice from someone who went through the system themselves.
I'm there to put my students at ease and make them feel empowered going into their assessments. Everyone has potential inside them, and I am there to help you hone it.
