I have taught English across primary and secondary so I've taught GCSE, A level, Nat 5 and Higher. I've also supported many students with English at primary level and with SATS or Common Entrance. I worked for six years at the Dragon School, one of the top prep schools in the country where I prepared students for scholarship to schools like Eton, Rugby and Wellington. I am very used to helping students with exam technique and with breaking down difficult texts like poems and 19th century literature. I like to use highlighting and talking about texts to help you understand. Sometimes I use videos or online resources if that is useful but I find that discussion and teaching you ways of planning and breaking down the tasks to make them easy is the best way to help you feel successful.
