My lessons follow a consistent structure that I have found works well across different subjects and levels.
I teach through questions rather than lecture-style delivery. My first priority in any session is understanding exactly where a student's thinking breaks down, because identifying the right gap matters far more than simply covering content. The first half of each session is therefore spent in conversation: probing current understanding, addressing misconceptions, and building the foundations properly. The second half is dedicated to applying that knowledge under exam conditions, working through past paper questions together on an interactive whiteboard, so students are learning to deploy what they know in the way that actually earns marks.
I bring 1,500 hours of experience across GCSE and A-level Biology and Chemistry, as well as medical school applications, covering everything from personal statement reviews to MMI interview coaching. As a doctor, I simplify and explain complex information every day, and I apply exactly the same approach in tutoring: meeting students where they are and helping them take the next step.
Every student is different, so I tailor each session to the individual for their learning style, their syllabus, and where they are in their preparation. My goal is not just to get students through one exam, but to leave them with a system they can use independently long after our sessions have ended.
