I tailor each lesson specifically for each individual. I have learned after over a decade of teaching both in institutions in the uk and abroad as well as privately that everyone digests and retains information differently. I tailor each lesson specifically for each individual. I have learned after over a decade of teaching both in institutions in the uk and abroad as well as privately that everyone digests and retains information differently. This means it’s important for myself as a tutor to be aware and adaptable to every students needs. Each lesson will delve into the particular individuals interests or learning goals and information will be explained in a way unique to them for the best results in information retention.
I teach acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass. This includes different styles and techniques on each instrument respectively such as strumming patterns, sweep picking and tapping. Instrument care and tuning will also be taught.
Lessons are very laid back and friendly while still maintaining high focus throughout and ensuring we are achieving our targets each and every time. I also have experience in teaching students with autism and ADHD which I have methods for. I am very patient and more than willing to go at any pace that suits my students.
I have taught many people from their very first notes and chords. I have seen a number of them through their school music exams and then onto studying music at university as well as playing their own gigs. Equally, I have helped many people achieve their goals of simply just wanting to be able to play along with some of their favourite songs. Whatever your musical endeavours may be I would be more than happy to help!
