I believe language learning should feel encouraging, practical and enjoyable. As a tutor, I try to create a relaxed atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and speaking more confidently.
My lessons are usually structured but flexible. At the beginning, I will discuss the student’s current level, learning goals and any areas they find difficult. Based on this, I will prepare lessons that match their needs, whether they want to improve daily conversation, pronunciation, reading, writing, vocabulary or general confidence in Chinese.
During the lesson, I like to combine clear explanations with guided practice. For younger learners or beginners, I may use simple examples, pictures, short dialogues, repetition and small activities to make the lesson easier to follow. For students with a stronger foundation, I can include more speaking practice, reading tasks, sentence-building exercises and feedback on accuracy and fluency.
I also care about students’ confidence. Many learners understand more than they feel able to say, so I encourage them to speak step by step without fear of being judged. I will correct mistakes gently and explain them clearly, so students know how to improve.
My aim is to make each lesson useful, supportive and personalised. I want students to leave the lesson feeling that they have learned something clear, practised actively, and become a little more confident than before.
