Hola!
My love for Spanish first started back at secondary school, leading me to study Spanish with Italian at Cardiff Uni. I was lucky enough to complete a year abroad as part of my degree, which is when I first began teaching languages.
Lesson structure and teaching methods will vary from student to student, as it’s never ‘one size fits all’!
The first class will always be about assessing your current level, strengths and goals for improvement. Further lessons will be structured based on what was agreed in the previous session, along with some time to go over any extra queries that you may have thought of in the meantime.
For students preparing for exams, I have experience with all main U.K. exam boards and we can have a look at topic-specific vocab and grammar before trying out some past papers. This is a great way to assess areas of strength and areas to focus more time on. We will also practise speaking, listening, reading and writing so that you feel prepared for each exam paper.
For companies or individuals looking to improve conversational Spanish, we can focus more on colloquialisms, day to day vocabulary and commonly used grammatical structures and idioms.
My experience teaching ranges from classroom based English language teaching for adults in Spain, through to one-to-one private tutoring for young students. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my language knowledge with people keen to learn, and hope to hear from you soon to arrange a first lesson.
