I completed four A-levels in Chemistry, Biology, Classical Civilisation, and Geography, achieving outstanding results of AAAA*. Currently, I am studying medicine, where I have gained extensive experience in managing exam pressure and exploring a wide range of effective revision techniques. I am eager to use this knowledge to support students in developing strong study habits, building their confidence, and achieving their full potential in their own exams.
My teaching style is highly flexible and tailored to the needs of each individual student. I understand that every learner has their own strengths and preferred methods of learning, so I adapt my approach accordingly. A typical lesson might involve reviewing key theory, guiding the student through exam-style questions, and then working together to mark and reflect on their answers. This process helps to consolidate understanding, highlight areas for improvement, and develop exam technique.
Alternatively, lessons can be structured around feedback: the student may complete practice questions between sessions, and we can then focus our time on going through their answers, addressing misconceptions, and refining their approach. I make regular use of exam board past papers and reputable online question banks to ensure the practice is both relevant and effective.
In addition, I encourage students to bring along any classwork or topics they find particularly challenging. This allows us to tackle difficulties as they arise and reinforce classroom learning in a more personalised setting. My aim is to make lessons engaging, supportive, and productive, so that students not only improve academically but also feel motivated and confident in their own abilities.
