For each of my students I develop individual learning plans for them depending on their current level, what they want to learn, how much they want to improve, rate of improvement, lesson frequency and how much practice they are willing to do on their own.
However the basic layout of my lessons are within an hour we will: - 10 min set up and warm up - such as scales or practice of what we did the previous lesson - 5 min goals for today's lesson, how the student is feeling about the lessons - 40 min learning and practicing, either songs or scales and chords - 5 pack up, homework, what we'll do next time.
These lesson plans can be adapted and modified for each person, and absolute beginner lessons are structured with a little more talking for the first couple lessons, explaining different parts of the instrument, how to read music ect.
