I am a qualified and experienced Social Science teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching in further and secondary education. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Social Science and a PGCE, and I specialise in Sociology, Health & Social Care, Psychology and related subjects. I have taught GCSE, A Level, BTEC and Access to HE students, helping learners of all abilities achieve academic success and progress to further study or employment.
My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style and goals. At the start, I identify strengths and areas for development before creating a structured learning plan. Lessons typically include clear explanations of key topics, discussion of theories and concepts, real-world examples, exam practice, coursework support and constructive feedback.
I aim to create a positive, supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence. I break down complex ideas into manageable sections, helping students build a strong understanding before applying their knowledge through activities, discussion and assessment tasks.
Whether you need support with revision, exam preparation, coursework, essay writing or improving subject knowledge, I will provide personalised guidance to help you succeed. My teaching approach encourages critical thinking, independent learning and analytical skills that are valuable both in education and beyond.
Above all, I believe learning should be enjoyable and rewarding. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop confidence, motivation and a genuine understanding of their subject, enabling them to achieve their full potential and future aspirations successfully.
