The lessons are fun, energetic, inspiring, and educational, and I can provide a lovely introduction, so you can get to know me. An initial warm up, frequently consisting of dynamic stretches, along with encouragement, to see the intended results is first taught. If you plan to train with me for the long-term, I will produce an assessment criteria, to test your mobility through the various joints, and movement phases that your body can perform. Feedback is often provided at this point, and sometimes homework can be given to you, to make sure you improve in your own time. Depending on your goals/aims, I can communicate effective coaching cues to enhance your technique, whilst stating reinforcing phrases to instil regular physical activity adherence. A variety of exercises can be taught, with professional demonstrations to give you confidence in your approach. Access to a wide range of exciting, modernised equipment is essential, combining specific protocols to target different muscle groups, and define designated outcomes, can also be achieved. For example, free weights, and dumbbells can be utilised to promote increases in the size of muscular tissue, otherwise known as hypertrophy training. Especially with the support, and observation techniques I’ve developed previously, conveying theorised training concepts, which consistently leads to musculoskeletal fatigue, thus developing a recovery response to promote strength gains, if so desired. After the enjoyable functional movement activities, a cardiovascular exercise is usually introduced, and can consist of a low/medium intensity running, cycling, or rowing machine training regimes. At the end I can let you know how you performed, and take you through calming static stretches, to reduce the likelihood of injury, and reduce your heart rate.
