I'm an educator specialising in philosophy and the humanities with six years tutoring experience and three years leading discussion-based seminars in a variety of educational contexts.

Where possible, I like to adopt a 'Socratic' or discussion-led approach to learning. That means I offer a collaborative space where you are encouraged to develop your own ideas and voice. My job is to help you express yourself with greater clarity, reasoning, and with a more refined writing style.

In a typical lesson, we will look at constructing sound arguments, mastering paragraph transitions and overall flow, evaluating information critically, and writing under time pressure. We will also work on analysing and responding to conceptually challenging questions. Source material for lessons includes real texts, past papers, and student's own drafts.
