I have recently completed a PhD in Astrophysics at University College London. However, during my studies, I have also participated in many outreach and teaching activities. I have previous experience of tutoring students in Maths and Physics up to GCSE level; I have run astrophysics research projects in secondary schools, and I have taught coding to undergraduate physics students. This breadth of experience targeting different audiences has given me confidence in tailoring content to the appropriate level of a student.
I believe that the key quality to yield academic success is to build a student's confidence; after that, the improvement in grades will follow. I want to make sure that students are not afraid to make mistakes. Knowing how to learn from previous errors is one of the most effective tools for improvement! I am an enthusiastic teacher and take great pride in seeing students succeed.
