I have recently completed a PhD in Astrophysics and, in that time, I have participated in many outreach and teaching activities. I have previous experience of tutoring students in Maths and Physics up to GCSE level, I have run research projects in schools, and I have taught coding to undergraduate physics students. I have recently completed a PhD in Astrophysics and, in that time, I have participated in many outreach and teaching activities. I have previous experience of tutoring students in Maths and Physics up to GCSE level, I have run research projects in schools, and I have taught coding to undergraduate physics students. This breadth of experience targeting different audiences has given me confidence in tailoring content to the appropriate level.
I believe that the key quality to yield academic success is to build a student's confidence; after that, the improvement in grades will follow. I want to make sure that students are not afraid to make mistakes and try to help them understand the best ways to learn from previous errors.
