Hello, and welcome! I'm Ismail, a Chemistry Education graduate of the University of Benin (B.Sc.Ed, upper second-class, 2:1) and a registered teacher. I teach Chemistry and English, and my aim in both is the same: to help you understand the subject instead of memorising it, so that it makes sense and stays with you.
My lessons are friendly, structured and built around you. In our first session, I find out where you are: your level, your exam goals, and the topics that give you trouble. From there, I build a clear plan. Each lesson starts with a quick recap, moves into a simple explanation, and then goes through worked examples. After that you practise while I guide you, and we finish with a short summary and a task to try before the next class.
In Chemistry, I teach atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, moles and quantitative chemistry, acids, bases and salts, organic chemistry, electrochemistry, and rates of reaction. I can support you with GCSE and A-Level Chemistry, using past paper questions, diagrams and real-life examples, and I break hard calculations into small steps so they stop feeling intimidating.
In English, I can help with grammar, vocabulary, spelling and punctuation, reading comprehension, essay and creative writing, and clear, confident speaking. I'll help you plan and structure your answers, build a stronger writing style, and improve your accuracy. This suits school students, GCSE English learners, and anyone who wants to communicate better.
I have extensive teaching experience, with a background in Chemistry and education across both primary and secondary levels. Over the years, this has taught me how to explain ideas simply, adapt to different ages and learning styles, and keep students motivated. I'm patient and encouraging, and I explain things in as many ways as it takes until they click. Mistakes are part of learning, and you can ask any question at all.
If you want to build confidence, improve your grades, or simply enjoy your lessons more, I would love to work with you. Book a trial lesson and let's get started!
