I have been tutoring for a year now and have learnt the value of patience, in building up from a strong foundation before moving on to master more challenging topics. My lessons should remain calm yet productive and remain constantly reflective and evaluative. I will not only teach you maths skills but also skills to make you a better learner and help you learn from mistakes better. I value efficiency and pin pointing weak spots first so you can get the best value out of your money.

Lessons will typically involve reviewing a set of questions you have done beforehand (which can be marked by me) and working together to find common patterns of mistakes within weaker topics. We may spend time going over the relevant content and breaking down topics into their fundamental core ideas. You may be quizzed as a form of active recall and to save time so that we both are clear with what you do and don’t know. Then, personalised questions will be given to challenge those weaker areas. I may explain my own approach and thought process in tackling such questions which you will be given the opportunity to practice. Lessons always involve looking at real exam questions to get a sense of what could actually come up in your test.
