Ishita Patel

Hello! I’m Ishita, a passionate and experienced educator based in Edinburgh, Scotland, with approximately nine years of teaching experience.

My teaching journey began in India, where I worked as an English Lecturer at Science Institute and taught English and Social Studies at Shree Narayan Vidhyalaya. I have also provided private tuition, helping students develop their language skills, improve their academic performance and gain confidence in their abilities.

I believe learning English should be enjoyable, practical and encouraging. Every student has different strengths, challenges and goals, which is why I tailor my teaching methods to individual learning needs.

My online lessons are interactive, structured and personalised. I begin by understanding each student’s current English level and learning objectives. Depending on their needs, lessons may include grammar exercises, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, writing practice, pronunciation and conversational activities.

For younger learners, I use engaging exercises, examples and regular feedback to make learning enjoyable. For adults, I focus on practical communication, conversational fluency, professional English and building confidence in everyday situations.

I also support students with examination preparation, academic writing and improving their overall understanding of English.

Alongside my teaching experience, I hold an MSc in Business Management from Edinburgh Napier University and have professional experience working in the UK.

My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.
