My tutoring lessons are structured, friendly and tailored to the student’s individual course, confidence level and exam goals. I have studied History at GCSE, A level and throughout my bachelor’s degree, and I have particular experience with topics including Nazi Germany, the Tudors and Elizabethan England. Lessons would normally begin with a short recap to identify any gaps in knowledge, followed by clear explanation of the topic using timelines, key people, causes and consequences, before moving into guided exam-question practice. We would focus on building strong subject knowledge, understanding how to analyse sources and interpretations, and learning how to plan and write high-mark answers rather than simply memorising facts. I can also provide revision resources, essay plans, practice questions and feedback between sessions, helping students become more confident and independent ahead of assessments and exams.
