Irene Arribas Álvarez

Hi! I’m Irene, a qualified Spanish teacher currently working as a Spanish Language Assistant in a secondary school in Birmingham.

I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, so my lessons combine a strong knowledge of Spanish with specific training in how to teach it effectively. At school, I currently support students with their Spanish and help them prepare for exams, including GCSE and A-Level.

I believe lessons work best when they are adapted to the student. Whether you want to improve your grammar, vocabulary, speaking and pronunciation, prepare for an exam, or simply become more confident using Spanish, I will plan our sessions around your level, goals and interests.

My aim is to create lessons that are structured and useful, but also relaxed and enjoyable. I teach both teenagers and adults, from beginners to more advanced learners.

I also hold a current DBS check.
