I‘m a good listener and understand about academic pressure. My organisation and time management skills are helpful in feeling less overwhelmed.
I have a BA degree in English during which I spent a year in Australia on a study abroad scheme. I also have a MA degree in Translation Studies from the University of Portsmouth. In addition, I’m a trained marketing assistant and foreign language correspondent. I completed the later as well as my MA while working in a full-time job. I have professional experience in consultancy and knowledge management for a large global company as well as running my own translation company. In addition, I have self-published two children’s books and have a little Etsy shop for crochet items. I’m also a German native speaker. As you can see, I’m always looking to learn new skills and push myself.

I have tutored in the past and will tailor lessons to your specific requirements. Sometimes that means diving into grammar, sometimes it will be a meaningful conversation. We decide together what works best for you. I don’t use fixed formats and prefer to work with (young) adults, students.

What is particularly close to my heart is to help students cope with academic pressure, find a time management strategy that works for them or simply listen when they need to vent about workload or other academic topics.
