I was an English student myself upon moving to Spain (Andalucía) at the age of 8 , thrown in at the deep end to an all Spanish speaking school , up until my teen years where I completed an arts Baccalaureate;I would start with the very basics and form the lessons over practicing conversational skills ,starting from numbers,colours, letters up to seasons , full sentences and the correct usage of nouns, pronouns and verbs.I have had experience in teaching 5-7 yr olds English in Spain along with private after school tutoring. I find the best way of learning is through Practice ( the same way I learnt) so lots of nattering away but will repeat and translate every word along the way.
