My lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive and easy to follow, whether you are completely new to art or already developing your own style. I can help you explore ideas, choose suitable materials, plan a project and work through challenges without taking away your creative independence.

For younger learners, lessons can include playful drawing exercises, seasonal crafts, storytelling through puppets, natural materials and simple textile techniques. For older students, we can focus on composition, colour, visual research, design development, presentation skills and preparing creative project work.

I believe mistakes are a useful part of learning, so I create a relaxed space where you can experiment and ask questions. I will give clear, constructive feedback and help you understand not only what to improve, but how to improve it.

Before each lesson, we can agree on a focus and any materials you may need. By the end, you should have a clearer understanding of the technique, new ideas to continue exploring and greater confidence in your creative decisions.

I also encourage students to keep a visual journal where they can collect sketches, colours, references and reflections. During lessons, we can look at artists and designers for inspiration without copying their work. We can connect traditional craft techniques with contemporary ideas, using accessible materials wherever possible. My aim is for each student to leave with something they are proud of and a next creative step they feel excited to take. I will always listen carefully to your goals and pace throughout lessons together.
